Amanda Shepherd is the illustrator of three books - Rules of the Wild by Bridget Levin, Who Loves Me by Patricia MacLachlan, and Fiona Loves the Night by Patricia MacLachlan and Emily Charest Maclachlan. Rules of the Wild was a 2004 Minnesota Children's Book Awards finalist. Her work was featured at the Original Art Show at the Society of Illustrators in 2005 and 2007. Fiona Loves the Night is listed with a starred review in Publishers Weekly August 2007. Amanda was a recipient of the 2007 Ezra Jack Keats/Kerlan Collection Memorial Fellowship Grant from the University of Minnesota. Her work has also been exhibited at the Arizona Museum for Youth and the Burton Barr Library of Phoenix. Amanda is a member of the Artist's Trust of the State of Washington, the Iditarod Trail Committee, and a participant in the Arizona Arts Community. Originally from the Seattle area, she lives in Arizona with her wildly creative husband Gary and Polly the hurricane baby cat.
