illustration - Minoan Goddess of Fertility-I am very fascinated with Minoan Mythology, as my father was born and raised in Crete. Unlike many other ancient cultures, they revered snakes and viewed them a sign of fertility. This image was based on the amazing frescoes depicted at the Minoan ruins in Knossos and on the very famous fertility goddess statue.
