I am a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto,
Canada and have been making my living as an illustrator for more
than 15 years. Artwork appears in 2008 volume of Showcase "200 Best Illustrators Worldwide". Recipient of merit awards from Communication Arts 2002 and
Portfolios.com 2006. Much of my work has come from the juvenile
education sector and I have created art for many magazines,
some packaging, posters, t-shirts and a tv commercial. My
technique is digital linocut colourized in Photoshop. People think
I'm crazy to continue carving actual linoleum but I like being able to
combine old and new world technologies and after all these years
of doing it, I'm very fast! I've been known to turn around a small black and
white spot for the Wall St. Journal in 2 hours. Other clients include
Scholastic Canada, Pearson Education UK and Canada, Key
Curriculum Press, Oxford University Press, ITP Nelson, Gage,
Brown, MacMillan UK, McGraw Hill, Forlag Malling Beck,
Denmark, The American Bar Assoc., The Globe and Mail
newspaper, The Toronto Star, The Detroit Festival of the Arts and
many more. I particularly enjoy children's publishing and have
created art for many folktales and legends from around the world. I
have illustrated 2 picture books recently published by Scholastic
Canada, "Antonio's Music" and "The Northwind and the Sun". When not in my
studio having fun I pursue more serious interests such as studying french and
political science, listening to opera, eating sushi and riding my bicycle.
