Sara Frances Wilson
Since graduating from Loughbrough University with a BA(HONS) in
illustration, I has been working on a freelance basis providing illustrations
for childrens publishers and indipendant commissioners.
Based in the sunny City of York, England I enjoy creating colourful
characters which I then turn into stories which I hope one day will become
published into childrens picture books. I love patterns and bold prints, black
and white line drawings and photos. Anything that makes me laugh and cry
(at the same time is an amaising feeling!) and being crafty with objects.
I mainly work on either Canvas or Cartridge paper using Acrylics and Oil
Crayons. Using Photoshop to scan in her work means I am able to deliver
my work digitally via email for quick commissions or through the post
depending on the brief.
When I'm not drawing and thinking of new ideas, I spend my spare time
dreamily walking along York river and looking up to the sky to spy cloud
beasts and if I'm not looking UP then I'm looking DOWN and counting the
worms that I spot on the floor on my way home. (53 is the record so far!!?)
