Ronald Slabbers
Graphic, conceptual and humorous children's illustration and character design.
Fast experience as a free lance illustrator and graphic designer and many related fields such as animation, puppet design for television and toy design.
As most of us I have just 1 brain and 2 hands, but there are as many ways of executing an illustration as there are techniques. Ranging from traditional hand work to complex computer techniques. I love finding myself in the middle and using best of both worlds.
In 1984 I made a series of small cardboard toddler books "Kitty" that sold international over 180.000 copies. The US publisher was Price/Stern/Sloan, LA. In 1993 I was one of the illustrators of "Dr. Paul's Amazing Eyewear" a portfolio containing party masks. This project was published in the US by Children's Universe, NY.
