Rocco Baviera is an illustrator whose fresh approach has won him numerous
awards throughout his over 20 year career, including Child Magazine, The
American Library Association, The Society of Illustrators in New York,
Communication Arts, Applied Arts, The Mountains and Plains Booksellers
Association, The New York Festivals, and The Art Directors Club of
Metropolitan Washington.
He has done work for many magazines and book publishers, including 3
award winning books for children...children's books for Philomel(A Boy Called
Slow), Harcourt Publishing(Dream Weaver), and DK Publishing
(First Painter).
Projects include CD Roms for Cambridge Learning UK, interactive
media for Scholastic UK and live-action for M.A.D.D., t-shirts for The World
Wildlife Fund and Ontario Parks, trade show graphics for OmniPod at the
Children with Diabetes conference, and Scholastic Canada(Long Neck, Short
Neck).
Other clients include the Grammy Awards, The Washington Post, Chirp
Magazine, and Girl Guides UK.
He is currently creating artwork for a line of baby clothing.
