Lisa Thiesing
Lisa Thiesing graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York with a BFA in illustration. In addition, she earned her Montessori certificate in early education from Bank Street College. This gives her a unique understanding of how to make products that are both fun and educational for children.
Lisa has illustrated nearly 20 books, 6 of which she also wrote. She has received many awards and honors for her work, including Bank Street Book of the Year, Parents Magazine “Parents Pick”, IRA/CBC Children’s Choice, Michigan Great Lakes Great Books Award winner, Delaware Diamonds Award and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award.
Lisa lives in upstate New York with her husband, daughter, dog and cats.
