Ines Huni
I was born in Mendoza, Argentina.I used to live in Bs As. but recently I moved to Mexico City.
I always liked everything associated with Art and drawing is my very favorite activity that is why since my childhood I have known what to do further on: Being an Illustrator!
My career started back at the Fine Arts School of Buenos Aires. Then followed the Garaycochea School (humoristic drawing studies), painting workshops, traditional animation and illustration. These experiences helped me enrich my style and today allow me to work with several techniques mixing paper, material and digitalization.
My work experience began in card editorials, then came magazine editorials (Cromi,García Ferré and Perfil editorial). Later came my trial in animation and work in Heart of Texas Productions in Austin, Texas in the following films:
· Disney Studios – “The fate of Agra bah” (Alladin) Interactive CD-ROM
· Warner Bros – Film -“The Quest for Camelot” (La Espada mágica) –
· Lyrick Corporation – “The Broken Cross” –“The Last Stone”and “The Gift of Christmas”- St. Francis Series – Video
I won a competition for the design of a pet for the Hospital Austral Pediatric Department. My character, called “Pengui”, was finally selected. Further work was carried out regarding its implementation, development and signaling in both vaccination and maternity wards.
Nowadays, I have been working on large scale designs for child murals and sets, also Illustrations for Editorial Infantil, Santillana (Puerto Rico & U.S.A)and Guadal-El gato de Hojalata.
Just recently, I illustrated a series of books published under the collection "Palabrerio..." by Editorial Infantil, and they rank among the top 2 selling books of the Children Section of the most important Bookseller in Argentina, called Yenny.
