Helen Correll
Helen writes and illustrates from her home studio in the country, where she
lives with her husband, two sons, two dogs, four cats, a gazillion frogs in her
small garden ponds. She is currently writing and illustrating for the Wildlife
in
North Carolina Magazine in the "Wild Notebook" section for children,
providing
poster art for Jamboread! Children's Reading Festival at the headquarters of
the
Spartanburg County Library System, as well as other non-profit
organizations.
She is an active member of SCBWI-Carolinas, and UCWG, the Upstate
Children's
Writer's Group.
Helen spends many hours outside, keeping a nature journal. She has been
invited to teach journaling to a wide range of classes: elementary, middle
school, high school, and college. Portions of her journals are featured in
various
publications.
