Elizabeth O. Dulemba was beamed to this planet with a pencil in her hand.
When she stopped chewing on it, she started drawing, and drawing, and
drawing. Eventually she started talking and telling everybody about her crazy
dreams and ideas. "Write it down," they said, "we don't want to hear it." So
she did.
"Ha ha! I have the last laugh!" Elizabeth said, "because now I do
this for a living!" Although she still chews on her pencil.
Elizabeth's first picture book, THE PRINCE'S DIARY, was named
No.1 2006 Valentine's Day Pick by BookSense. Her latest, PACO AND THE
GIANT CHILE PLANT (bilingual), was a Moonbeam Children's Book Award bronze medalist. Elizabeth was named the 2008 Magazine Merit Award Winner for her December '08 cover of Highlights Magazine. Her first picture book as both author and illustrator, SOAP, SOAP, SOAP ~ JABON, JABON, JABON! comes out Fall 2009.
