Edna Cabcabin Moran is an author/illustrator based in the SF bay area. Her work has appeared on magazines, books and other media.
Edna's book, THE SLEEPING GIANT, A Tale from Kaua'i, was awarded the 2007 Ka Palapala Po'okela Honorable Mention for Excellence in Children's Hawaiian Culture. Other awards include: Writer's Digest Honorable Mention in 2006 for Rhyming Poetry; The Northern CA Gold Addy and Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles illustration merit. Edna is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and participant at the Chautauqua 2005 Highlights Children's Writer conference.
A partial list of Edna's clients include: BeachHouse Publishing, St. Martin's Press, Habitot Children's Museum, New Moon Magazine, Chabot Space & Science Center, Kaiser Permanente and Highlights For Children, and Fireflies Musical Yoga for Kids.
Outside her studio, Edna enjoys dancing hula and traveling with her family.
