Doug Chayka
Doug Chayka’s work has received recognition from the Society of Illustrators
of New York and Los Angeles, and has appeared in Communication Arts and
Step by Step graphics Magazine. He is the illustrator of the children’s picture
books Four Feet, Two Sandals, Beekeepers, Yanni Rubbish, and The Pink
House at the Seashore. Doug also creates illustrations for book covers, ad's
and magazines for a wide variety of clients.
After graduating from the Rochester Institute of technology in 1996, Doug
traveled extensively in Europe and from 2000 to 2002 he studied painting
and printmaking as a Fulbright scholar in Germany at The Berlin University of
the Arts. Doug has taught illustration at Pratt Institute and Rochester Institute
of Technology, and exhibits his work both in the United States and abroad.
He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
