Cris de Lara
Cris de Lara has started doing free painting courses in teenage. Her preferred
painting style used to be oil painting.
Later she has graduated in business administration. She and her husband
Alexandre Stockler founded their own company for DTP and design in 1995.
Since then Cris de Lara has been working in several projects always
concerned to drawing and painting.
She has developed her work in Digital way as well as in the traditional way.
She has already worked for :
Advertisement and Publishing;
2D animation (interleaving and clean up);
Drawing for newsletter and Magazines as well as caricatures and digital
portraits;
cartoon strips for Magazines and websites;
Matte painting for digital scenery , storyboards, portraits and caricatures for
TV networks;
Illustrations for children books and also for several Language Courses
Educational Books (concept art, drawing and painting);
Illustrations for Gift Wrapping Papers and Greeting Cards;
She also worked for commissions (companies and private clients doing
caricatures, digital portraits, outdoors, stores internal decoration, events,
professional lectures, presentations, etc).
Cris de Lara also used to work as teacher for digital painting and illustration in a game development Post Graduation course in U.V.A. She also worked as Instructor/consultant for Digital Painting Courses for companies and contributes regularly with workshops and Q&A section in ImagineFX magazine (www.imaginefx.com)
The last 4 years Cris de Lara has been working in comic books area as
colorist and also doing commissions for comic book's characters.
Cris de Lara prefers drawing Manga and Cartoon styles, children Illustrations, Fantasy Art and Pinups......
Actually, she loves drawing and painting her own pinups.
In her Studio she works as illustrator/painter/colorist/conceptual artist/character
designer for games, rpg books, trade cards, wrapping gift paper, greeting cards, pinups, posters, etc..... any project mthat needs illustration and painting.
Objective:
Cris de Lara would like to work as illustrator/painter for children/teenager foreign publishers (her preference is Canada/Quebec or USA).
She would like to receive professional offers to work in a company (full time, contract for project, etc, she has immediate availability).
