Crystal Driedger
Crystal cannot remember a time when art wasn’t a part of her life. Her grade school notebooks are littered with doodles and she recalls hours spent leaning over old fax paper creating drawings that stretched across the kitchen table at her Grandma’s house.
These days, however, Crystal illustrates by painting or digitally rendering art in a whimsical and playful style that works for a variety of applications including children’s books, magazine editorials, product illustration, greeting card and gift bag design and educational material.
She graduated from Grant MacEwan College in 2003 with a diploma specializing in Design & Illustration and became an illustrator working full time for an Edmonton publishing company directly after graduating. Creating hundreds of stationary products including gift bags, wrapping paper and various other tid-bits, children’s books and various graphic design work. Crystal is currently living her dream as a freelance illustrator and works from her home based studio in Edmonton, Alberta.
A selection of clients Crystal has worked with:
Royal Alberta Museum, Woodward Design, Quarasan, Odvod Publications, Caycan, Raven Feeders, Walmart, American Greetings, Barnes & Noble, Costco (US), Sally Foster, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, QVC (the home shopping network)
