illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - All the King's horses...-Hey....I don't think they are planning on putting Humpty Dumpty back together again.
Water color and ink, by the way...
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Piggy in suspenders!-I sketched this pig wearing suspenders and liked the drawing so much that I painted it! He doesn't look to happy, or maybe he's just thinking hard. Oh well, it's a good sample of a watercolor and ink illustration
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Squirrel and Beetle-These are two of my favorite drawings that I think show my skill with animals well. Here are depicted a southern flying squirrel and a Colorado Potato Beetle.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Snow Monkey Bath Time-This illustration is of a snow monkey, or a Japanese Macaque, which warms up in the winter by bathing in natural hot springs, It's a funny sight seeing them sitting in the hot water with snow building up on their heads.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Two Robins-These are two different species of bird, both bearing the name "robin" the left side one is the European Robin, which is more closely related to a flycatcher. The one on the right is an American Robin, which is a species of thrush. The two share a name because of similarities in appearances only. They're both smiling:)
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - The Dove Returns-I had fun depicting some animals plus Noah crowding at the ark's window, excitedly watching the dove return with the olive branch in it's mouth. Though I may illustrate Bible stories using my cartoon-like style, I will always take the subject matter seriously.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Giant with a people infestation-So continuing with my theme of misunderstood giants, I have depicted the Giant from Jack and the Beanstalk as having a people infestation.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Stinky ogre stinking up the place-This is an ogre from a story I wrote. He's very smelly, even the skunk things so. I had fun depicting all of the results of his smelliness.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - He's not fooling anyone-I never could figure out how Red Riding Hood was fooled by a wolf in her grandma's robes. I used prismacolor markers as well as watercolor for this one.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Death of Juliet-This is one of the pieces from my senior year of school: I did several illustrations from Romeo and Juliet depicting them as squirrels. This is the best of the bunch; the moodiness and lighting was a lot of fun to paint.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Two of a Kind-A Knight and an ogre...and an unfinished, yet sneaky-looking goblin-thingy. Another doodle that I liked enough to paint. Again, I see the ogre as a mis-understood creature. Maybe the knight and him are friends.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Hmm...A golden ball....-Another illustration that I've attempted many times, but the truth is: the frog is MUCH more interesting than the princess, so any piece I tried with the princess in it, just wasn't as much fun as ones depicting the frog. I would find it odd to have a golden ball drop out of no where while sitting in a well, so I imagine a frog would too.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Mid Flight collision-One of my pieces for my senior project had a flying pig in it. I wanted to depict the pig wearing a rocket pack, but my teacher thought a helicopter pack would be funnier. Here's the illustration as I would have done it, plus a bird caught unaware.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Dragon and Knight-Zounds! What Fairy tale artistry would be complete with out ye brave knight and yon fire-breathing dragon??

I like this dragon's feathery wings and red highlights. He doesn't look to dangerous either; most of my monsters are usually misunderstood.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Swamp hunter-This arose from a doodle I drew one day, and I liked the frog-fish-man enough to work it to a final illustration. I think he's considering how to cook the fish he caught.....hmmm...I'd fry it, personally.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Lone Giant-I have always loved giants; not the "grind his bones to make my bread" sort, but the gentle, miss-understood kind. It's also fun to illustrate the size differences between a giant and normal sized stuff; like the deer and trees in this image.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - The Fox and the Grapes-I wanted to illustrate this Aesop's Fabel because of the challenge in portraying the fox's struggle to reach the grapes. I think I captured the "just out of reach" frustration well.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - An Odd Fairy-I love fairy tales, but I don't always take them seriously. Here's a goofy looking fairy and the forest creatures that aren't quite sure what to do with him.
illustrator - portfolio - Fuller, Jeremy - Rumplestiltskin-This is the classic story of Rumpelstilkskin...sort of...so I figured that maybe he isn't all that magical and used gold spray paint to turn the straw into "gold."

Jeremy Fuller
I went to school at University of the Arts with the hopes of earning a degree in Animation when I took an introduction to Illustration class. After that I was hooked and changed my major. Bringing my favorite stories to life in painting was exciting to me, and still is, which is why I was drawn to Children's Illustrations over periodicals or book covers.

I am influenced by such artists as Arthur Rackham, Beatrix Potter and even Gary Larson, Tex Avery and other cartoonists. So my artwork, where appropriate, will always have a playfulness to it where I explore different slants to stories that have been around for a while.

I also enjoy being historically accurate when I can, like when I illustrate Bible stories, and research costumes and architecture for the time period if it is relevant to what I am illustrating.

Another subject that is common in my artwork is animals: I am told that I have a gift in being able to draw animals very accurately, and most of it from brief time spent studying the subject animal. This is because wild life and nature has always been a huge interest of mine; to the point of where I almost went to school for zoology. Since I was able to read and even before I spent my time reading about animals, watching documentaries, so drawing and painting the subject comes easily to me.
