2008 Bologna Children's Book Fair report:



Childrensillustrators.com has just returned from the prestigious 2008 Bologna Children's Book Fair - the most important international networking event dedicated to the children's publishing and multimedia industry.

Having sponsored the popular noticeboard area for the second year running, childrensillustrators.com once again successfully secured maximum exposure for the site and its members.

In addition, we published a full page advert for the site in the Bologna Children's Book Fair catalogue, a key reference tool for major players in the international children's publishing arena.

Childrensillustrators.com gets thumbs up from top publishers

We're now back from the Bologna Children's Book Fair - and what an amazing week it was for the site!

To ensure maximum exposure for the site, childrensillustrators.com sponsored the popular notice board area, where publishers traditionally flock to view work posted by Illustrators. Our plasma screen presentation held a prime location, close to the entrance of the fair.

Each morning our team set-up early, and with refreshments nearby, many publishers tended to grab a coffee and stop to view our presentation before making their way through the stands.

Having networked throughout the fair, we were delighted to receive such overwhelmingly positive feedback from publishers, a large proportion of whom were currently working with members of childrensillustrators.com, having found them through the site. Pleasingly, most of them were already aware of the site, with the "one-stop-shop" concept really appealing to all those busy art buyers!

In total, childrensillustrators.com distributed just over 3,000 promotional cards at the event. In addition to the eye-catching presentation, our full page advert featured prominently in the fair's catalogue and childrensillustrators.com's logo also appeared on the main floor plan.

All in all, a great success, and one thing's for sure - we'll definitely be back again next year!
